UNDERWRITE OUR PATIENT RESOURCES BINDER

Patient Resources Binder

Our Patient Resources Binder give patients a tool to keep track of confidential documents and provide resources to give a sense of commonality as they work with their medical team.

These notebooks bring organization for a patient’s medical records, estate document such as Power of Attorney copies & Healthcare Directives, provide a DVD holder for CT and MRI scans, and contain tabs for each physician of their medical management team (PCP, Surgeon, Oncologist and Radiologist).

They also contain information about other resources that address financial planning during the cancer journey, as well as other documents that may educate a patient on services provided by local resource organizations within their community.

The Patient Resource Notebook was developed over several years by our team of cancer care specialists in order to help patients thrive during their active cancer treatment.

In this episode of Focusing On You, Lisa will get you started with the notebook and share several helpful tips for getting the most out of it.

UNDERWRITE daily needs & medical bills

Gas Cards, Groceries, Daily Needs & Medical Bills

The need for gasoline is critical. When cancer strikes, patients, their families and caregivers are on the road constantly, getting to a myriad of doctor appointments, the grocery store and drug store, as well as public and private agencies.

Clothing needs change. As the patient deals with the reality of changing conditions almost daily, clothing needs change as well.

Daily Needs increase. Household expenses, car payments, insurance payments, mortgage and rent is a constant concern for most families.

Medical Bills. A cancer diagnosis can wreak havoc on the cost of medical services. Help is always needed in this area.

We encourage you to donate as much as you are able to help these families survive the cost of a the cancer journey. Contact us to pledge a one-time or monthly amount of your choosing.

Here is what your donation can cover:

$50: gas cards, groceries, and gift items.

$100: gas cards, groceries, clothing gift card, and comfort bags.

$250: gas cards, groceries, utility bills, household bills, and therapy.

$500: gas cards, groceries, utility bills, household bills, car payments, and insurance payments/copays.

$1,000: gas cards, groceries, utility bills, household bills, car payments, mortgage/rent bills, and medical bills.

Host a Fundraiser

Rally the community, your co-workers or family to do good by giving back.

When you organize a fundraiser for Hope Abounds, not only are you supporting Cape Fear County neighbors, you are also helping to share our mission with the community. Everyone who attends your fundraiser will be able to learn about what we do to move cancer victims from surviving to thriving.

There are a variety of ways to raise funds and awareness. Fundraise around something you enjoy—  some supporters have success by simply sending an email to friends and family.

Our youngest neighbors have setup lemonade stands; others have held a small or large event and asked for donations; donate your birthday or celebrate a special occasion by giving back.

Every dollar counts!

Looking for volunteer hours for school or a project? Track the hours you spend planning, promoting, and collecting donations, and we can provide signed documentation of the hours you spent on the project.
