Introducing the Big Summer Chill in the Foothills!

There’s something new happening this summer, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Hope Abounds is hosting its first-ever Big Summer Chill in the Foothills on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. It’s an exciting addition to our East Coast Shag Classic series and a chance for our community to come together in support of those impacted by cancer.

Expect incredible live music, meaningful fellowship, and the kind of purpose-filled celebration that reminds us why we do what we do.

An Afternoon to Remember

This inaugural event will feature Jim Quick & Coastline Band, beloved for their signature Carolina swamp soul sound, along with DJ Ken Jones, a longtime supporter of the Carolina shag community. We’ll also have raffle prizes, reserved seating options, and plenty of ways to connect with the Hope Abounds mission.

Whether you’re a dancer, a supporter, or someone who just loves great music for a great cause. This is a day you won’t want to miss.

Be Part of the Celebration

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Purchase your ticket (advanced and reserved options available)

  • Reserve a table for your group of friends or fellow shag enthusiasts

  • Become a sponsor and receive recognition before and during the event

  • Donate a raffle or auction item to help us raise even more support

Proceeds from the raffle and live auction will help raise funds to continue the mission of Hope Abounds Cancer Network. Your donation allows us to continue providing no-cost services and many more success stories for cancer patients who reach out to our organization for assistance.
