Offers limited financial assistance for cancer-related costs such as transportation and child care, and our oncology social workers can help you find resources.

The Healing Helpers provides personal life coaching services for individuals dealing with various issues, including childhood traumas, illnesses, and daily life pressures. Offering consulting and training services for corporate and small businesses, they offer customized service consulting solutions focusing on developing communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
Feast Down East
Mobile Farmers Market
Feast Down East's Local Motive Mobile Farmers Market is a source for fresh, nutritious produce options. They accept SNAP/EBT, credit/debit, and cash, with a Fresh Bucks program that matches up to $25 for SNAP/EBT purchases. Legal Aid of North Carolina
Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice. The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Wilmington Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in a seven-county area surrounding Wilmington, NC.

The Salvation Army provides emergency services, including food, clothing, shelter, a safe space, and a hopeful word to everyone who needs it — regardless of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.

Family Reach
Family Reach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides non-medical financial support to families facing cancer. Treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food on their tables to survive. If a family can’t meet these basic needs, cancer treatment takes a back seat. We work with patients, providers, and community organizations to challenge the systems that force families to choose between their health and their home. Together, we’re making financial treatment a standard of cancer care.

Patients eligible to enroll in an open program may utilize their assistance to pay for one or more of the following: medication and provider copays, coinsurance, health insurance premiums, medical expenses, and travel. Navigating a cancer journey is hard. Connecting with someone who understands is easy. Cancer Hope Network offers personalized one-on-one peer support for cancer patients and caregivers with trained Peer Mentor survivors who’ve been through their own cancer experience. Their program is an important part of a whole-person, patient-centered approach to cancer care and is a pathway to hope that is available at any point in a cancer journey.
